The social work environment and BGSV (EKKO) cases

    • Regulation No. 1009/2015 on measures against BGSV (EKKO) in the workplace addresses various duties of employers and employees designed to ensure a safe social work environment.
      • BGSV (EKKO) stands for:
        • Bullying
        • Gender-based harassment
        • Sexual harassment
        • Violence
    • Employers must ensure that appropriate procedures are in place at the workplace, such as an action plan for addressing BGSV (EKKO) issues, based on a risk assessment
    • Employers may be liable for damages in BGSV (EKKO) cases, such as on the basis of employer liability or due to inadequate managerial responses to complaints about BGSV (EKKO) in the workplace

Education and knowledge are the best prevention
